Prior to planting, enrich your soil naturally by spreading 1” to 2” of Bull Country Compost and tilling it to a depth of 4”. Experience the benefits of chemical-free composting for healthier soil and plants.
Bull Country Compost is a soil conditioner, not a growing medium.
Avoid planting directly in pure compost. Our recommendations are tailored for the average Northeast Ohio soil. For precision, consider a soil test.
Start with a weed-free area. Spread 1” to 2” of compost for natural weed control and soil conditioning. Keep compost away from plant foliage and base, cleaning any accidental coverage with water.
Watering Instructions: After application, water the area to set the compost and enhance moisture retention. Nutrients release gradually, providing nourishment for up to two years. Produce in contact with compost remains safe after a simple rinse.
For revitalization, top dress with 1/4'' of compost using a spreader or by hand. Water and aerate for the best results. Ideal during spring or fall, avoiding hot, sunny days.
Prepare with ½” of compost over topsoil, till to a depth of 2”, then seed and water thoroughly. Perfect for establishing robust, chemical-free lawns.
